It's been a long time since Buffy the Vampire Slayer bit the dust and went off air in 2003, but that hasn't stopped How I Met Your Mother from facilitating a little reunion of sorts between two of the show's main stars. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Seth Green - who starred as Daniel "Oz" Osbourne on Buffy from 1998-2000 - is set to guest star on CBS's How I Met Your Mother, which stars his former co-star and love interest Alyson Hannigan.
Green will portray Daryl LaCoutre, a former college classmate of Hannigan's character Lily and Jason Segel's Marshall who looked at them as best friends despite the fact that Lily and Marshall hardly remember who he is. The episode is tentatively set to air on December 10.
This isn't the first time HIMYM has set up a Buffy reunion - Hannigan's real-life husband and former Buffy co-star Alexis Denisof has appeared in the series numerous times as anchorman Sandy Rivers.
