Could our dreams and wishes for Amber Heard's 2012 resolution be coming true? Could this, Syrup, finally be a good film featuring one of Hollywood's hottest but underutilized actresses? Judging from the first trailer, maybe.
Featuring Heard alongside Shiloh Fernandez, Syrup - based on the 1999 Max Barry novel of the same name - follows a young marketing grad (Fernandez) who hatches a million dollar idea for a new product, but becomes enamoured with an attractive corporate exec (Heard) who probably isn't what she seems. In truth, the trailer doesn't give much away in the minute and a half it runs other than the fact that Heard is hot and the soundtrack will probably be great, but the plot is interesting at best so that's enough to render us officially intrigued. The film also stars Kellan Lutz and Brittany Snow.
