1999’s Boondock Saints is one of the most beloved cult crime films of all time, but its sequel, The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, didn’t quite live up to its predecessor. Undeterred, there have been rumors that director Troy Duffy is getting ready to put a third Boondock film into production. And in an interview with IFC, series star Norman Reedus confirmed that The Boondock Saints 3 is indeed on the horizon.

“I’m in L.A right now,” Reedus said when he was asked about a third Boondock. “I’m meeting with Sean [Patrick Flanery] and Troy [Duffy] tonight. I just landed a couple hours ago and tonight I’m going over to Troy’s house with Sean. It’s definitely in the works. Look for it. It’s gonna be crazy.”

The site is reporting that there is no script for the movie yet, but there is an idea that the actors and director are going to flesh out. Does this franchise have any more potential left? Let us know what you think.
