Though the premiere of NBC's The Voice still pulled in the highest ratings of the night yesterday with 12 million viewers, according to The Hollywood Reporter, viewership of the singing competition was down by 39% compared to last season's post-Superbowl spring premiere. The loss of viewers compared to the ratings garnered by episodes after last season's premiere and the finale was much less - only 15% and 7%, respectively - but still, a drop in ratings is a drop in ratings, and those numbers actually mark a series low for the show. That's never a good sign.

Could America finally be sick of having so many singing competitions on television?
