Founded in 2008, Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) has become a force in raising funds to support cancer research, and they have done it in style with a strong base of entertainment industry support. The organization was founded by major Hollywood players, among them producer Laura Ziskin, who sadly lost her own battle with cancer last year. In honor of Ziskin, SU2C has redoubled its efforts, and tonight the third live Stand Up To Cancer fundraising show will take place. Celebrities ranging from Matt Damon to Alicia Keys will be manning the phones and urging you to contribute to this extremely important cause. No one is immune to cancer’s effects (moment of silence for MCA), but together we can take a stand.
