Cloud Atlas – the upcoming sci-fi movie from Tom Tykwer and The Wachowskis – is one of the more enigmatic films of the year. Despite the movie being released in a little under a month, not much hype has been built up around it, and we've been left mostly in the dark so far. But this new clip attempts to rectify that by showing off the complex, multi-layered narrative of the movie.
Narrated by Tom Hanks, this footage explains how each decision made by the characters in this film affects the lives of others for decades to come. This is the central idea behind the whole movie, but it’s impossible to understand the vast premise in a clip that isn’t even two-minutes long.
If you want all of these questions answered, you’ll have to wait until Cloud Atlas comes out on October 26.
