At Mankato, MN bar Pub 500, female customers have the opportunity to find out if they're pregnant prior to getting twisted. Or afterwards, the choice is really theirs. Local non-profit organization Healthy Brains for Children installed a pregnancy test-dispensing machine that allows women to purchase the devices for $3 using their debit or credit cards. Pub 500 co-owner Tom Frederick says that all proceeds go straight to the organization.
Though the consumption of alcohol by pregnant women should certainly be discouraged, we aren't sure how effective this will be. Regardless, the organization plans to install 100 machines in the area.
