Because modern adaptations of classics are apparently all the rage right now, The CW is reportedly developing a Alice in Wonderland based show set in present-day Los Angeles. Well, if anywhere's going to be "wonderland," it would be LA.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has commissioned a script, and the project is tentatively titled Wunderland for now. It will follow a young female detective, we're guessing she's named Alice, as she discovers another world that exists beneath LA. Attached to write and executive produce is The Playboy Club's Chad Hodge.

So, will the white rabbit be a smelly homeless man or a washed up actor who has to wait tables to support his cocaine addiction? Guess we'll have to watch to find out!
