Marvel Entertainment will be releasing the first installment of their episodic portable device franchise, Avengers Initiative, tomorrow. The game will be released for Android and iOS for $6.99 and will feature updates to the game free of charge. Each new update will feature a new Avenger, and a whole new story arc, not just new skins. We can see Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America at the end of the teaser.
The trailer shows the Hulk doing what he does best, smashing things in the face. It looks like the story might be borrowing from Brian Michael Bendis' run on New Avengers. There are references to the mass prison breakout on The Raft, and some Secret Invasion Skrull story nods as well. What do you think? Free episodic updates with a large price tag up front?
