In what seems like a tall order, the Guinness Book of World Records was able to get the world's shortest man, Chandra Bahadur Dangi, and the world's shortest woman, Jyoti Amge, to meet in the same room—something that rarely happens with record holders. Dangi, a native of Nepal, stands at 21.5 inches, and Amge, a native of India, stands at 24.7 inches, and both met for the first time during a promotion for the Guinness Book of World Records.

Although the duo's meeting was short-lived, Marco Frigatti, adjudicator for the Guinness Book of World Records, said that the event was both important and special. According to Amge and Dangi, they're both appreciative and pleased with the recognition they have received, and the opportunities it has afforded them.
