Sources are reporting that the end times are truly upon us, and they'll be heralded by the arrival of Achievements for classic, formerly pure Windows games like Solitaire, Minesweeper and Mahjong.

Microsoft is really trying hard to merge the Windows and Xbox spheres, though some don't think the two are peanut butter-and-jelly enough to withstand the transformation.

Under Xbox Windows branding, though, modern features like Achievements and (likely) leaderboards, friends lists and who-knows-what-else will inevitably arrive on the Windows 8 platform, regardless of how long a game's survived without them.

So would you rather experiences like Minesweeper, Solitaire and Mahjong remain pure, unadulterated and without gamerscore points? Or do you welcome the modern age and the digital amenities that come with it? Tell us in the comments or on Twitter.
