Konami announced in April that Silent Hill HD Collection, the high-def port of Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 for Xbox 360 and PS3, would soon be getting a patch to fix its many bugs and issues.

Now it turns out they were only half right, and at least a few Silent Hill fans are going to be peeved at the news sent out today. The company released the following statement:

"Today, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. announced that while a PlayStation 3 online title update for Silent Hill HD Collection has been deployed for download via PlayStation Network, plans for an Xbox 360 title update have been cancelled due to technical issues and resources.

"Understanding the issues some users are experiencing, Konami issued a title update for Silent Hill HD Collection (PS3), which fixed frame rate issues as well as audio-synching and other reported issues. Konami apologizes to any players who are continuing to experience these issues on the Xbox 360."

Good on Konami for admitting the game has issues, but to then give up on fixing it after leaving us hanging for months? What a bummer.

But hey, at least PS3 players should have an okay time now. Were you waiting for the patch on 360? What are you going to do now? Tell us in the comments or on Twitter.
