A Boy Scout leader from Pine Plains, NY was attacked by a rabid beaver while swimming in the Delaware River. These are the type of things they probably don't prepare you for in the Boy Scouts. 51-year-old Normand Brousseau was having a swim on August 2 when an eager beaver swam through his legs and bit him in the chest. The attack was farm from over.

The beaver proceeded to bite him in the leg, arms, torso, hands and buttocks before he grabbed it and held its jaw closed. One scout pulled Brousseau to the shore, and the animal attempted to scurry off, but other scouts killed it with rocks. A day after the attack, a doctor confirmed that the animal was rabid.

Health officials says rabid beaver attacks are very scarce, which just makes this even more bizarre.
