The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that M. Night Shyamalan has signed on to direct and produce a new TV series for SyFy titled Proof, along with Buffy the Vampire Slayer writer Marti Noxon. According to the site, "Proof centers on the son of a billionaire tech genius who, following an accident that claims his parents' lives, offers a large reward for anyone who can find proof of life after death."
Shyamalan will co-write and executive produce the show with Noxon, but we don't know if he will be directing any episodes after the pilot. He also recently wrapped up his sci-fi thriller After Earth with Will and Jaden Smith, which will hit theaters next summer.
We'll have more information on Proof as it becomes available.
