The time travel, sci-fi thriller Looper comes out later this fall, and by all accounts doesn't have an accompanying video-game release attached to the film. That's a shame cause even in 8-bit form, this game looks totally playable.

Filmmaker Deepak Chetty created this game 8-bit game trailer for Rian Johnson's Looper, with no expectation of it actually becoming a fully playable game, he just did it for the sheer radness of it. You may have heard of Rian Johnson, he directed the Noir crime throwback Brick, also starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Looper is about a assassin for the mob that travels back and forth through time taking out his targets. One day he discovers his next target is his future self, from 30 years in the future. OK, I'm in.
