For its Ludlow suit campaign, the company decided to forgo models and go with real people. Those "regular" people have include journalists, creative directors, and chefs. For the latest crop, J. Crew decided to tap into tech world and enlisted Tumblr's 26-year-old founder and CEO David Karp.

Head to jcrew.com and you'll see Karp, along with a field advocacy worker for the American Cancer Society, the president and CEO of Trunk Archive, and a design architect, modeling pieces of the Ludlow suit and other J. Crew-brand appeal.

According to J. Crew's CMO, Diego Scotti, the company chose "very accomplished people who have an impact on our customers and culture in general. They appreciate quality and detail. Our customers identify with them, but the campaign is not about celebrities."
