After having filmed the Harry Potter series for a majority of her life, it's understandable that Emma Watson hadn't been able to let go of the J.K. Rowling character she brought to life, Hermione Granger. However, all it took was filming one scene of her next project, The Perks of Being A Wallflower (which hits theaters on September 14th), to help her let go of it.

Emma credits filming the scene in which her character Sam stands on the back of a pick-up truck while she's driven through a tunnel as the moment she finally released her inner wizard.

“I started as Emma with some Hermione still left in my system,” she tells Entertainment Weekly. “I went through the tunnel and I came out ready to start something new.”
