28-year-old Floyd Lee Corkins of Herndon, VA, has been charged for opening fire and wounding a security guard at Conservative Christian lobbying firm the Family Research Council in D.C.

In addition to ammunition, police found 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches in his backpack. They really can't catch a break, can they?

Corkins, who volunteered at the front desk of a local LGBTQ center, allegedly told the guard "I don't like your politics" before opening fire. The Family Research Council opposes gay marriage and abortion, and the organization's president, Tony Perkins, supported Chick-fil-A when president Dan Cathy said that the restaurant believed in the traditional concept of marriage.

His parents told the FBI that he has "strong opinions with respect to those he believes do not treat homosexuals in a fair manner." That's fine, but solving problems with bullets undermines the cause you support. He was charged with intent to kill and bringing firearms across state lines, and if found guilty, could face up to forty years in prison for both charges.
