Somehow, convicted murderer Carlos Garcia managed to break the window bar on his jail cell using only a razor blade and a Popsicle stick, only to turn around and return to his cell with the bed sheet he used to escape. He had used additional Popsicle sticks, newspaper, and plastic to fashion a false window to disguise his escape attempt.
Though police say it's unlikely, Garcia said that he could have escaped if he truly wanted to, and he returned because of second thoughts. Department of Corrections officials moved Garcia to a maximum-security facility for "public safety concerns"—thankfully, because he's a convicted murderer who has the ability to escape from a prison cell using only a couple of Popsicle sticks.
