Magrunner: Dark Pulse is a brand new, in-development first-person puzzle game with a blend of cyberpunk and Lovecraftian lore, and you can fund it and even influence its development.

That sounds like a Kickstarter project if there ever was one, but it's not. Everyone, meet Gamesplanet Lab, which is actually exactly like Kickstarter, but specifically for indie games (and with a much more global feel).

Here's the game's story synopsis, from a press release sent out today: "In Magrunner – Dark Pulse, the hero Yoshi and his robotic dog Newton enter the Gruckezber Magtech Challenge, a technology competition drawing contestants from around the world with a 1 million credit grand prize. They soon discover that this friendly game has a much darker purpose behind it. Now only this intrepid duo and Yoshi's mutant mentor Gamaji stand between the earth's survival and eldritch annihilation."

Check out the video above and head to the Gamesplanet Lab project page if it sounds interesting and you want to contribute.
