According to Washington Post reporter Tim CraigGray needed time to get grounded on the matter, but Gray responded with a Tweet of support for the LGBT community and denounced #hatechicken.

.@timcraigpost Given my longstanding strong support for LGBT rights & marriage equality, I would not support #hatechicken

The chain still has locations on the outskirts of D.C., but in order for it to have a location in D.C., it would have to fall in line with the D.C. Human Rights Act, which outlaws discrimination based on a number of characteristics.
