The next time you stay in a hotel you may find a Kindle in the bed-side tablet instead of a Bible. The InterContinental Hotel Group is looking to modernize its hotel chains by replacing traditional Bibles with Amazon Kindles loaded with e-book versions of the religious tome.

The first hotel InterContinental plans to revamp is the Hotel Indigo in Newcastle, England. Each of the Indigo's 148 rooms will get a Kindle Touch with Wi-Fi. Guests can either read the Gospel or purchase other books to read during their stay. Don't think about stealing and flipping them, though. To prevent theft, Hotel Indigo will charge the full price of the Kindle to the guest's bill in the event one goes missing.

According to CNN, if this proves to be a success, InterContinental will "expand it to other locations."
