Capcom's announced that the 12 characters previously exclusive to the PS Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken will enter the fray on consoles and PC July 31 as DLC.

What's interesting is that the characters are actually coming ahead of the Vita version itself, which drops October 2. We were worried about the Vita version having too much of a head start, but it looks like that won't be the case.

Even more interesting is the fact that the first run of Vita copies in October will come with download codes for the 12 characters as well as some alternate costumes, and that the DLC can be shared between Vita and PS3 copies.

The new characters include Blanka, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Guy, Sakura from the Street Fighter Side, and Alisa Bosconovitch, Bryan Fury, Christie Monteiro, Jack-X, Lars Alexandersson, Lei Wulong from Tekken.

If the price ($19.99) and the fact that the DLC is located on the disc don't stop you from enjoying the character pack, you'll finally be able to enjoy the full 50-characters roster. Let us know what you think in the comments or on Twitter.
