Microsoft is preparing to announce an Xbox Live app called "Xbox Smart Glass" that will wirelessly connect users' tablets, smartphones, and Windows computers to their consoles at E3 on Monday. According to The Examiner, the app was shown as part of a "Microsoft Confidential" preview earlier this week.

Smart Glass will allow tablet/smartphone users to use apps and stream video directly from their mobile devices to their TV via the Xbox 360. In addition to working with any Windows or Windows Phone device, Smart Glass will be compatible with tablets and smartphones running Android or iOS.

Microsoft's E3 presentation, which begins Monday, June 4th, 9am Pacific, will feature the unveiling of the service, but won't include a live demonstration, according to the report.

Speaking of which, Complex will be liveblogging during the Microsoft E3 press conference, so check back with us Monday to find out more about Smart Glass and all things Xbox at E3 2012.
