Sure, Facebook’s struggling stock suggests some financial difficulty, but the social network still has some serious money to blow. Just months after dropping $1 billion on Instagram, it’s rumored to be weighing up a $250 million bid for Wildfire, a company that specializes in providing other businesses the tools and means to create and distribute their own interactive promotions (think coupons and giveaways) across multiple social networks. It’s more along the lines of the business-to-business variety. Interestingly, Wildfire is one of the few tech companies with a female founder and CEO in Victoria Ransom.
