We've always felt there's been one thing missing from our virtual poker experiences: Pamela Anderson. Luckily we received a press release today assuring us that the lack of Pam in most online poker games is about to be addressed.

Enter BamPoker, a Facebook poker experience helmed by Anderson herself that launches today. It features online, tournament-style Texas Hold'em, and although you won't be playing for real money, it is "the only place online where member can play Texas Hold'em poker with Pamela Anderson herself", according to the press release.

So they either have a digital Pam avatar whispering in your ear the whole time, or they've literally got Pam tied to a chair and are forcing her to play online poker with strangers for the foreseeable future.

"Pamela is much more than BamPoker's spokesperson and creative consultant," reads the press release. "She is an active member of the BamPoker community where she maintains a fan page, plays Facebook poker, and periodically chats with members via the BamPoker App."

"BamPoker encourages active user engagement and strong community spirit, something we feel has been missing from the online poker world," said Canadian entrepreneur and BamPoker co-founder Elton Pereira.

The release also stressed that they'll be engaging in non-profit partnerships throughout 2012 to make "valuable contributions to a variety of causes," many of which will be spearheaded by Anderson.
