As gamers, we spend the vast majority of our time on the couch. Walking around E3 all week served as an uncomfortable reminder that we should probably get out more.

That's why it was a perfect opportunity for Microsoft and Nike to show off their new collaboration, Nike+Kinect Training for the Xbox 360 and Kinect.

No matter how fit you are (or aren't), Nike+Kinect Training will be able to assess your level and create a personalized workout plan that will help you achieve your goals. And Kinect's hands-free motion sensing technology gives it a distinct edge over the competition (like Nintendo's Wii Fit U, also announced this week).

The game builds on the expertise of featured athletes like LeBron James and Rafael Nadal. If they can't whip you into shape, we doubt anyone can.

Best of all, Nike+Kinect Training will integrate with existing Nike+ systems, like the one on your smartphone and the Nike FuelBand. So it'll be easy to make it part of your existing workout repertoire.

Nike+Kinect Training drops this holiday. Check out the E3 trailer and let us know how you think it stacks up to the competition. Leave a comment below or on Twitter.
