Ubisoft announced today that Far Cry 3, the tropical shooter that was previously set to launch in September, has been delayed to December 4 in the US and November 29 in other territories.

"We're taking more time to create the best possible gameplay experience," producer Dan Hay said in a press release sent out today. "Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players."

Can't argue with that, and we'd rather play the game late than get an inferior experience.
