Firefighters in National City, Calif., were forced to free a 17-year-old boy who got his arm caught in a vending machine while allegedly trying to steal a soda. The kid crammed his arm into the receiving slot of the machine near a trolley station and was stuck looking foolish until a trolley rider phoned the police.
Soon enough, police showed up with firefighters and paramedics to free the little thief. After failing with a crowbar, air-chisel and axes, they finally liberated him by cutting the lock with a rotary saw. He was immediately taken into custody and may be charged with petty theft.
He didn't get the soda, either.
