New Jersey Woman Fired from Job at Lingerie Warehouse for Being Too Hot

Word?

29-year-old Lauren Odes was fired from her temp job at New York’s Native Intimates because male employers felt she was too “busty” and dressed too provocatively. Again, let's reiterate: she worked for a company that manufacture lingerie.

Odes feel that her wardrobe, such as a snug, sequined black dress and black leather boots, was appropriate for a company that sells “thongs with hearts placed in the female genital area and boy shorts for women that say ‘hot’ in the buttocks area.” She also says that she was told that her breasts should be taped down and was asked to wear a bathrobe over one outfit.

Odes says she agreed to buy a sweater to wear over her dress, but was dismissed after a week of employment, regardless. “We should not be judged by the size of our breasts or the shape of our body,” she said.

We thought this was America.
