With the increasing video (and photo) capabilities of Apple’s mobile devices like 1080p, the content created by users is inevitably outgrowing mobile displays and even computer screens. Thinking ahead, PoP Video has created an add-on compatible with newer iPod Touches and iPhones (4 and 4S) that turns the devices into pico projectors generating 960 x 540 video. The accompanying iOS app even lets users project video from Safari, so YouTube videos are game.

The peripheral plugs into the proprietary Apple pin and charges via micro-USB, all within an inherently portable package weighing in at 3.5 ounces. The release date isn’t set yet, but it’s now available for pre-order at PoP’s site for only $99.
