Yes, another one. Deadline is reporting that NBC has greenlit a singing competition from the producers of The Voice, to be titled The Winner Is. According to early reports, it won't be a carbon copy of every Simon Cowell-created singing competition series - instead, it is being described as a "singing game show," in which contestants must combine "vocal and bargaining abilities" for a $1 million prize.
Do we really need another singing competition on television? Probably not, but we're getting one anyway. Simon Cowell may not have created this one, but we're going to blame it on him anyway.
