NYPD Sgt. Lesly Charles was caught in uniform and on camera in the midst of a profanity-laced rant against a group of young men in Brooklyn. In Bad Lieutenant-esque fashion, Charles threatened them with his firearm and condoned their criminal activity at the same damn time.

“You guys are hustling or whatever, I ain’t got no problem with that. Listen...do your thing, but when I come around and I speak, you fucking listen. Tell your boys,” Charles said during the 20-minute tirade that took place on April 28.

But Charles’ comments were far more Alonzo Harris from Training Day than Bunny Colvin from The Wire’s third season. When a kid drove past in a BMW, he yelled, “This is my street. All right? If you got to play tough, that’s your problem…I do whatever the fuck I want.”

With two plainclothes cops acting as his wingmen, he followed the troop to No. 1 Chinese Food restaurant, where he continued, “I have the long dick. You don’t. Your pretty face—I like it very much. My dick will go in your mouth and come out your ear. Don’t fuck with me. All right?”

After the man insisted he had done no wrong, Charles said, “I’ll take my gun and put it up your ass and then I’ll call your mother afterward. You understand that? And I’ll put your shit in your own mouth.” Just to hammer his point home, he added, “I’m here every fucking day. I don’t go home. I have no life. No kids. I do what I do.”

The man who shot the video and gave it to The Post was arrested last night and charged with disorderly conduct for ignoring Sgt. Charles’ orders to leave. A source close to him says previous “efforts at civility failed” in dealing with the young men.

Sgt. Charles is now learning that anything you do and say can, and will, be used against you on the Internet. Does he even care, though?
