After being declared dead, 28-year-old Hamdi Hafez al-Nubi shocked loved ones by waking up at his own funeral (second image). He was pronounced dead by doctors after suffering a heart attack at work, and in accordance to Islamic tradition, his family took his body home and prepared it for burial.
However, a doctor sent to sign his death certificate found it odd that his body was still warm. Further observation proved that, he was, in fact, still alive. When his mother found out, she fainted. The doctor was able to revive al-Nubi and his mother, and the funeral became quite the celebration.
