Minnesota police are in the hot seat over allegations that they got Occupy protesters extremely high as part of a program to help authorities identify the symptoms of drug use. The program has since been suspended as public safety officials investigate the claims.

According to CBS Minnesota, one local officer told authorities that he saw another officer handing out weed to protesters. The controversy was sparked by a video where one participant says police "come into downtown... and basically pick up random people, and ask them to do drug evaluations."

One dude went as far to say that the encounter left him "high as fuck."

Naturally, public information officer and Minnesota State Patrol spokesperson Lt. Eric Roeske vehemently denied the accusations in a statement to The Huffington Post. As cool as it sounds, getting high courtesy of the cops might not be that tight if they bust you for it afterwards.
