A series of job listings on Witcher 2 developer CD Projeckt Red's website indicate that the studio is looking to staff up for two new projects, one of which will be The Witcher 3.

One of the projects is described as an RPG set in a "dark fantasy world", which is exactly how the company describes The Witcher franchise on the same page: "Our mature dark-fantasy world is well known around the world," boasts the developer. They clearly aren't don't care to much about hiding the fact that a sequel in the works.

Given The Witcher 2's success and an ending that almost demands a sequel, it was only a matter of time before the company turned to working on the next entry in the series.

The second, announced project is much trickier. Simply referred to as an "RPG in a brand new setting", it sounds like CD Projeckt will be creating their own IP this time around. An icon next to game's headline shows a modern-looking pistol, implying that the game will have a modern and possibly more realistic setting. The studio describes the project as "a vast RPG for which we want to assemble the best possible staff."
