"Breaking In," "I Hate My Teenage Daughter," And "Alcatraz" Canceled By Fox

Looks like Fox is doing some spring cleaning.

None

After experiencing months of disappointing ratings, Fox has canceled Breaking In, I Hate My Teenage Daughter, The Finder, and Alcatraz, according to The Hollywood Reporter. This will be the third time that the network has canceled Teenage Daughter and the second time it has given the axe to Breaking In, but it seems like this time it's permanent.

Both shows were brought back to bolster the network's comedy block, yet they both failed to gain a sizable audience. Especially Teenage Daughter, which earned only a 1.2 rating in the highly-important 18-49 demographic.

Alcatraz, on the other hand, came in with a strong debut and support from critics and a small group of fans, but it failed to hold on to a large enough audience to justify its existence. Fox also canceled The Finder, which failed to hold its own against Thursday competition from The Office and Grey's Anatomy

The site is also reporting that the network has renewed American Dad, BonesFringe, Glee, Kitchen Nightmares, New Girl, Raising Hope and The Simpsons.
