ABC Is Hoping To Have A "Hulk" TV Series On The Air In 2013

Also, don't expect to see The Punisher on the small screen for a while.

None

A while ago, it was revealed that an Incredible Hulk TV series was in development over at ABC with Guillermo del Toro set to produce; however, nothing ever really materialized and when the network announced its upcoming schedule, Hulk was nowhere to be found. But in a bit of good news, it turns out that the project isn't dead; it's just on the shelf until next year, according to Collider

In a quote on the site, ABC president Paul Lee revealed that, "Hulk is in development.  It wasn’t going to be ready this season, but we hope it’s going to be ready for next season.”

In case you aren't aware, ABC and Marvel are both owned by Disney, so the communication between all of these corporate entities should be as smooth as possible in order to make the show faithful to the original comic book vision. This is also important because Marvel is apparently moving forward with another Hulk movie at the same time, so there is a chance that both projects will be connected.

While we have good news for Hulk fans, the same can't be said for Punisher fans. The site is reporting that the rumored Punisher TV series that was set to get a pilot on Fox was not picked up. But in a way, this could be a good thing. Now, perhaps, ABC could focus on its own Punisher series, and, to be honest, the premise of Fox's version didn't sound too appetizing to begin with.
