It's tough for any new Batman cartoon to match the brilliance of Batman: The Animated Series from the '90s, but Cartoon Network's new show, Beware the Batman, is trying to do just that. By bringing the Caped Crusader into the realm of CGI animation for the first time ever, the network is hoping to capitalize on the success of similarly animated shows like Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the new Green Lantern: The Animated Series.
Now the network has released the first bit of footage from the show in the form of a short teaser trailer, and to be honest, it does its job perfectly. It's certainly very brief, but it clues us in on the look of the show and the attitude of Batman himself. This isn't the Silver Age interpretation from the recent Brave and the Bold cartoon; instead, this seems like the tough-as-nails version that fans have grown accustomed to over the years. And that new Batmobile is about as sleek as we have ever seen.
