A Las Vegas man allegedly attempted to hire a hit man to kill his wife as a "birthday present" to himself, because he couldn't just be a normal person and get a cake or something.
According to the Huffington Post, 32-year-old Jorge Victorino-Vazquez was arrested after a week-long investigation into his plans, which police were tipped off to when the man contacted an undercover cop who was posing as a hit man.

According to the police report, Vazquez was given multiple opportunities to change his mind, but didn't give up. "He never made any hint that he did not want to follow through," the report read, "he went so far as to say it would be his birthday present."
Vazquez was arrested, and charged with solicitation to commit murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and burglary.
