A snake scared the shit out of a pilot in Australia's Northern Territory when it emerged from the dashboard of a small Air Frontier plane just 20 minutes after take-off from Darwin Airport.
The pilot was forced to call for mayday and land the plane swiftly. Fortunately, he wasn't carrying any passengers:
"Sure enough, out of the corner of my eye, I see a little bit of movement there," he said.
We imagine it wasn't that funny in the moment. The serpent has yet to be recovered, but Air Frontier's solution was logical—set up some traps. Apparently, this type of thing is common Down Under.
