D.C.’s Capital City Diner moved, but thankfully it’s staying in the District. Opened at 1050 Bladensburg Road NE in 2010, the diner was sold to South Carolina-based company Edens, which is working on Union Market. The diner will not be located inside a new retail food space on Florida Avenue between Fifth and Sixth Streets NEEdens bought the diner from Matt Ashburn on eBay for $40,000.

It moved a mile and a half to its new location early Tuesday (second image). Plans for the diner’s car haven’t been solidified, but at least the Capital City Diner is staying in D.C.
