This right here is what you'd call a layup.

Cedrick Barnes of Florence, S.C., had a fun Friday night after realizing he had a surplus of weed. First he tried to sell it to his old probation officer, which led to him selling it to a Florence police officer, which led to his arrest. Barnes was looking through his phone, searching for potential clients, when he came across Maj. Carlos Raines, who just so happened to be his previous P.O.

Raines set up a parking lot meeting, and then reached out to Florence police, who completed the deal. The cops seized half a pound of weed worth about $1,200 on the street. Barnes was booked for one count of possession of a controlled substance and possession of cocaine.

This should be a drug-dealing mandate: never sell to your old parole officer.
