There's a reason that Ryan Gosling is adored by all, including the dudes whose girls he'd steal by accident—he's a hero off the silver screen. Last night, the 31-year-old actor reportedly saved a woman from being mowed down by a New York cab somewhere on 6th Avenue.
British writer Laurie Penny was looking the wrong way while crossing the street when Gosling shouted, “Hey, watch out!” and snatched her away from death. After Gosling's real-life heroics, Penny did what anyone would do in that situation—tweeted about it.
This was light work for Gosling, who broke up a fight between two men last year. Cue Mariah Carey's "Hero" and the requisite slow-motion montage.
