NBC Apologizes For Editing George Zimmerman's 911 Call

NBC has issued an apology for editing the dialogue in George Zimmerman's 911 call that aired on the Today Show. NBC attributes the confusion to an "error" which made it sound as if Zimmerman willingly racially profiled Trayvon Martin before fatally shooting him.

After several people noticed that the dispatcher actually asked Zimmerman to identify Martin's race, the network issued the following statement:
