Getting the cover of an EA Sports title is one of the greatest honors to acheive. Just imagine, fans of the sport and video game franchise hit the stores early on drop day to pick up a copy with you on the cover and will most likely play your in-game character for hours.
That can also be scary.
For years, gracing the front of an EA Sports game was followed by rumors of a curse. EA has made a move to kill all of that with their voting campaign that recently hit the net. The gaming giant along with Blackberry are encouraging fans to vote for their favorite NHL player over at covervote.nhl.com in a bracket-style tournament. The NHL ice-warrior with the most votes gets the cover of NHL 13, simple as that. Voting is unlimited and those that do will also be entered into a sweepstakes for the chance to win a VIP trip to the 2012 NHL Awards.
