Halo is the type of series that lends itself incredibly well to fan films, as previous works like "Eye of the Storm" can prove. No doubt it's all part of Bungie's plan for world domination, as their inclusion of features like Theatre mode and no-HUD modifiers cater directly to the Machinima community.
Well, this isn't machinima. It is a fan film, however, in which "an aging veteran of the Human-Covenant war recollects his first encounter with the Covenant." While it's not exactly original (Halo 3's official ad campaign was the exact same thing), it's extremely well done. And it's particularly impressive that they did it on a budget of $200.
