If you're gamer who loves Dubstep, the past few months must have been awesome. Much like film and TV, the music set to game trailers seems to come in waves. At E3 2011, there were two or three trailers using the same hook from Kanye West's "Power" used in trailer for "The Social Network". From Far Cry 3 to The Amazing Spider-Man, today's trailers feature heavy drops and wobbly bass.
Of course, Dubstep is kind of a perfect fit for a robot-smashing sci-fi adventure like Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Electronic music urging on electronic characters probably makes more sense than trailer music should.
Aside from appropriate-sounding music, High Moon Studios' follow-up to their own take on the Transformers universe, War for Cybertron, clearly plans to raise the intensity with an apocalyptic backdrop, the threat of impending doom, and dinobots.
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will drop into stores on August 28th, 2012.
