Survival horror gets a little more survival-y in Lone Survivor, a pixelated, side-scrolling indie game about a man who survives an apocalyptic outbreak of disease only to discover that he loves cats. Or that he's plagued by vivid hallucinations and can no longer tell what's real and what isn't. Either way, we want it.

Check out the official site here, and play a demo on Kongregate before you lay down the full $10 (or $50 for the "First Aid Edition", which comes with a soundtrack, art print and entry to the LS3D beta, whatever that is).

As an added bonus, the game is DRM-free. It looks compelling enough to at least try out. Let us know what you think in the comments or on Twitter.
