Desperate times call for desperate measures.
According to the New York Post, Rihanna spent $24,000 to fly her stylist, Ursula Stephen, first class to London after messing up her hair in her hotel's pool and sauna.
"When she got out, her hair was tangled and matted," said a source. "She slapped a load of conditioner on but it didn't get through the mass."
Ordinarily, this wouldn't be a big deal, but RiRi was set to film a talk show the next day, and just couldn't take the chance of not looking up to par. She also didn't want to put the fate of her hair in the hands of a local hairdresser whom she had no experience with.
"She didn't want to take the chance on an unknown," the source continued. "Because they were on such a tight schedule, they had to get her on the first flight. Rihanna didn't care about paying a fortune."
